Release window
Rockstar has committed to November 2026 for console. The PC version has no date yet — 2027 is the working assumption, based on the studio's past cadence.
The story
Grand Theft Auto VI follows Lucia and Jason — a Bonnie-and-Clyde duo pulling off a crime spree across Leonida, in a story Rockstar calls its take on the "modern-day Bonnie and Clyde".
The map
Set in the state of Leonida — Vice City in its biggest, most detail-packed form yet: neon-soaked downtown, beaches, glades, and the Everglades-style outskirts.
Platforms
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch. No PC date, no PS4/Xbox One. No crossplay at launch — confirmed in Trailer 2's fine print.
Editions & pre-orders
Standard, Plus (bonus in-game content) and the Signature Limited Edition (steelbook, reversible cover, bonus weapons) were confirmed at cover-art reveal on June 25, 2026.
GTA Online 2
Big "Online" mode is expected to launch alongside the game. Rockstar hasn't said the words "GTA Online 2" yet — but Activision-style tease... it's coming.
